How It Works
- Upload a PDF of your book in the app.
- Select your book from the library.
- Ask your question out loud, then say "Send" when done.
- HeyReader searches the book and reads the answer back through your glasses or earbuds.
Free Tier
Free accounts can upload 10 books and ask 15 questions per day. Both limits reset at midnight. Pro removes them.
Frequently Asked Questions
What devices work with HeyReader?
Any Bluetooth audio device — Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, AirPods, or standard Bluetooth earbuds. Requires iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
What books can I upload?
Text-based PDFs up to 50 MB and 1,000 pages. Scanned image PDFs are not supported. Most ebooks and textbooks in PDF format work well.
The app isn't responding to my voice. What should I do?
Make sure your Bluetooth device is connected before starting a session. If the app stays on "Starting…", close and reopen it. Confirm microphone and speech recognition permissions are granted in Settings → HeyReader.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the App Store app → tap your profile photo → Subscriptions → HeyReader → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
I was charged but can't access Pro features. What do I do?
Tap "Restore Purchases" on the paywall screen inside the app. If that doesn't resolve it, contact us at the email below.
Is my voice data stored?
No. Audio is sent for transcription and immediately discarded. We never store your voice recordings. See our
